♿️YOU ARE NOT DISABLED! SHOCKING TRUTH | Social Model Of Disability Explained

♿️WHAT IF I TOLD YOU, YOU ARE NOT DISABLED!!!! IM EXPLAINING THE SOCIAL MODEL OF DISABILITY. I KNOW IT SOUNDS FANCY AND COMPLICATED, BUT IM HOPEFULLY EXPELLING IT SO EVERYONE CAN UNDERSTAND IT.

The social model of disability says that it is our environment, and social factors that are disabling us. Not our impairment. It is society fault we are disabled for not having the right equipment, or aids to help us. Like accessibility, or even peoples assumptions towards disability. Im also chatting bout the medical model of disability. which is a very old fashioned way of looking at disability. Which goes against the social model of disability and says that it is the individuals for for being disabled, not societies.

😱24 YEARS LATER MY COMA DREAM CAME TRUE!!! | Whats It Like To Be In A Coma

WHEN I WAS 9, I WAS IN A COMA AFTER SUFFERING AN AORTIC RUPTURE. 24 YEARS LATER MY COMA DREAM CAME TRUE! SHE WAS MY MIDWIFE NURSE!

When I was nine I was put into and induced coma after suffering an aortic rupture. This was after I had a coarctation repair. I was in an induced coma and had some very strange dreams and experiences. I had major open hear surgery, and it wasn’t easy being a child in a coma. I had brain activity tests, and they didnt know if I had brain swelling, but it was much later they discover that I had a spinal cord injury.

After suffering my spinal cord injury i have really had to adapt in life. So Im showing you my disability lifestyle to raise disability awareness. As a disabled woman and a woman in a wheelchair who is paralysed, I thought it would be interesting for you to see, and hopefully give you some inspiration and motivation so that you can live more independently. wether you are paraplegic or quadriplegic I hope that I can help you. “CAN I PRAY FOR YOU?”♿️ | IS IT OK TO ASK DISABLED/WHEELCHAIR USERS?

SUCH A HARD VIDEO TO FILM. I REALLY DON’T WANT TO OFFEND ANYONE ONE OF ANY FAITH. BUT A LOT OF YOU HAVE MESSAGED ME ABOUT PEOPLE ASKING YOU, IF THEY CAN PRAY FOR YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE DISABLED OR IN A WHEELCHAIR.

Is it ok to ask disabled/wheelchair users if you can pray for them? I don’t know what the right answer is. But I hope in this video I have raised a little awareness on what it may feel like for the disabled person. It can make us feel very uncomfortable, and very venerable. I feel there is a time and a place. I feel we should all respect each other and each others faiths. If you don’t wish to be prayed for I feel its very un executable for the other person to get aggressive towards the disabled person.

Rehabilitation and acceptance of my disability took a long time, and I still get bad days as I’m sure we all do. But I found a lot of solitude in Horse riding, swimming, and music. If I’m having a bad day one of the things I like to do is pamper myself, and give my skin some real attention. I find is if you feel your skin is glowing and looking its best on the outside, it can make you feel so much better on the inside.
