Improve your designs with ITERATION

Your first idea is never your best. Iteration will make you a better designer! Please remember to subscribe

In this video I demonstrate the iteration/design process with a graphic to advertise a workshop, but I go through this same iteration process when I design websites. I hope this video answers questions about why you should ‘bother’ to design first before you code, and I hope it encourages you to really push your ideas further. Don’t settle for the first thing you create! You can always find small ways to improve it.

A side note that i didn’t cover in the video, is you also need to know when to end the iteration process. I could have kept going for days trying different things with this graphic, but there was other work to do! So another part of iterating is learning when to stop; when to call it ‘done’ and move on to the next project!

My videos no longer have pre-roll ads because I think ads are annoying. That means you don’t have to sit through ads, and it also means I don’t earn anything from the content I put on YouTube. If you want to support me and my channel the best thing you can do is join my Patreon!

You’ll get tons of extra content and ways to learn, like behind-the-scenes process info, downloadable assets or even a monthly group Google Hangout! Choose your tier and sign up here:
